We intend to offer more water play this coming half term and would appreciate your understanding. We would be really grateful if you could send in a spare set of clothes and shoes in your children’s bags in order that we do not run out of clothes to change them into if they get wet. At the moment, we have very few summer suitable bottom half of clothing and shoes.

Please don’t forget to apply sun cream before pre-school and to always send you child in with an appropriate named sunhat.

Summer shoes: please make sure your children wear suitable shoes for the summer, no strapless sandals or flip flops please. Sandals/shoes with the toes enclosed are preferable.

Also, we advise girls to wear leggings or trousers if they want to use the rope swings to avoid rope burns to their legs.

If you haven’t done so already,Please can we ask all the parents whose children stay for lunch to give their lunch boxes bags a thorough clean over the holidays. They come up a treat, if you put plastic boxes in the dishwasher, or fabric bags in the washing machine.

Over the last few years the children have really enjoyed having their work displayed at the Leigh Art Trail. As this schools event is not running this year, Belfairs Woodland Centre have agreed to display the children’s work during the holidays from the 28th July to the 4th of August 2017. I hope you will all really enjoy going along to the display.
